Well where do i start. To be honest!! son took bike for a joy ride mind you he has experience but was wrong to do so. The dealership was good enough to keep it there until i picked it up. Thanks again for that!!! BUT suggested a 21 inspection. The bike was in great shape prior to winding up at the dealership. Since bike was there i had them do a 21 point inspection BAD idea. Prior to said inspection Bike no leaks, stereo worked great! wiring was great! Just wanted a PROFESSIONAL to tune it up before i headed out town. LOL LOL after 21 point inspection was finished got a call saying faring brackets loose and needed new ones, OK lets do it!!! well got the bike back, wiring to radio screwed up, wiring to starter screwed up, Bottom seal leaking from motor (oil leak), fairing screws missing, seat bolt missing, and what really pissed me off!!! yesterday wiring to started screwed stuck on hwy for 1 1/2 hours. This morning i packed it up on trailer and will be heading up to dealership. $550.00 dollars later i have a SCREWED BIKE. OH they tried to sell me a refurbished radio If they couldn't fix it well had a specialist look at bike and all listed above just a sloppy job done on bike. I hope they will take their time to fix it right this time. ALSO MUST UNDERSTAND when fixing a man or women's bike NOT only are they trusting you with a prize possession BUT ALSO TRUSTING YOU WITH THEIR LIVES. I was almost hit from behind when bike shut down. I will been up their soon and will let all know how it turns out. FEELING PISSED CAUSE could have been hurt or killed and disappointed i have to spend more money to trailer it back up there and hope it will be addressed asap but done right this time, seasons winding down.
There are lots of reason but first of all the repair prices are to high. I went in for a oil change and ended up costing me 596.66, They replaced the shift shaft seal cost 372.83 WOW. then they inspected the cam shoes and tell me they are bad and it would cost me 1100 to fix and that my rear tire was to wide and was touching the belt and it would cost me about 600 for new tires. At this point I was thinking about selling the bike as is but I decided to take the bike to a different shop to get a second opinion and I am glad I did!!! They showed me the cam shoes and they were fine and then They added a spacer on the back tire and no more belt rubbing WOW the just saved me 1700 dollars!!!! I will never take my bike back to the Harley Davidson shop in Wausau again. I went to the Motorcycle Riders Depot and they got my bike fixed for a very fair price and did not try to sell me things that I did not need.
